Honey is a new night launching at SWG3's Poetry Club on 7th March. The night's ethos is simple – we play fun music, you dance and sing freely with your friends in a judgement and pressure free environment.
Expect tunes that span a variety of eras and sub-genres of dance music – while we embrace an anything-goes policy, garage, trance, early 2000s floorfillers and pop vocals are a heavy guarantee. At some point, one of the residents will inevitably play Stereo Love by Edward Maya.
Warming the night up will always be a selection of female DJ's who have taken part in our community-led DJ workshops. These are currently run for friends and friends of friends, but we have plans to expand in the near future to an open decks and publicly available format.
Honey is for women, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ people. Allies are welcome as long as their behaviour reflects the ethos of the night.
